EVENT COORDINATING

I orchestrated events of scale, managing everything from securing venues and speakers to collaborating with catering companies and florists. In addition to the logistics, I've fostered meaningful connections with donors over the years and developed stronger bonds with officials and business-owners in our community.

BANQUETS

Coordinated all aspects of a charity banquet exceeding 500 guests
Secured the venue, caterer, keynote speaker and florist
Printed, mailed and emailed invitations to each guest
Called perspective donors to extend a personal invitation and strengthen community relations
Arranged and assigned a seating chart; adjusted table arrangements as invitation responses rolled in

SPORTS EVENTS

GOLF CLASSIC

Met with golf course owners to discuss expectations and lock-in event date
Scheduled morning and afternoon flights for golfers
Documented enrollment and registration fees
Communicated with major donors to strengthen relationships and encourage event sponsorship
Monitored the flow of events during the tournament

DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT

Analyzed a list of donors and determined the best target audience for event promotion
Contacted local business owners to secure donations and/or gifts-in-kind for tournament winners
Monitored registration and day-of event details

OVERNIGHT CONFERENCE

Organized an educational, 3-day 2-night conference in northern Michigan for non-profit organizations
Created and managed Excel spreadsheets to track registration and payments
Assigned lodging for each registered guest
Secured the keynote speaker and coordinated flight, airport transportation and lodging logistics
Maintained close contact with venue coordinators in the months and days leading up to the conference to ensure room assignments were set and enough food was ordered
